chalk love

Our assignment this week was to create a chalk-look out of a fount. . . . this is my attempt.  We were also suppose to apply it to one of our favorite inspirational quotes.  I feel this smudged chalk was a perfect fit for this piece.  If you have never read the book Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret, I highly recommend it.  This quote is an excerpt from that book, said by Hudson Taylor.  If The Lord chooses to use me for His work, this will be the reason why.  If He does not, my pride will, undoubtedly, be the barrier.  I pray that I am always as week as this dainty little pansy so that He will be glorified all the more.

looking for light

Where is the light?  Although we live in Florida, I am having the most difficult time finding good light. Our house, probably to make it more energy efficient (easier to coo), has terrible light inside.  So, I am always trying different rooms at different times of the day.  Our daughters' room (although mostly pink) has the best light!  It also has the only south-facing window.  Each of these pictures was taken at the same time of day, but processed differently.
added radial light with a white foreground and Kim Klassen's Sibil Texture once on "soft light" at 50% and once on "mulitply" at about 30%

I would love to hear what you think!

Enjoy!

outside-in

Our challenge this week was to bring the inside . . . out!

Not sure if this technically qualifies, but all of these things were inside at one time  :)
